Version 1.0 · Effective 20 June 2026 · Governing jurisdiction: Dubai, UAE
WeGather is a free, passive community notice board for events across the UAE, Bali, and Ibiza. By browsing this site, submitting a listing, or contacting an organiser, you accept these Terms in full. They should be read together with our Privacy & Data Policy.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. By browsing this Platform, submitting a listing, or contacting an organiser through WeGather, you confirm that you have read, understood, and irrevocably accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, you must cease use of this Platform immediately.
1. About WeGather
WeGather (“the Platform”) is a free, passive community notice board that publishes event listings submitted by independent third-party organisers operating across the United Arab Emirates, Bali (Republic of Indonesia), and Ibiza (Kingdom of Spain). WeGather is owned and operated by [Operator Legal Name], a company incorporated under the laws of [Jurisdiction of Incorporation] (registration number [XXXXXX]) (“WeGather”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
WeGather does not organise, host, operate, fund, supervise, vet, endorse, or participate in any event listed on the Platform. WeGather is not an agent, partner, co-organiser, promoter, contractor, or representative of any event organiser. No agency, employment, partnership, joint venture, or franchise relationship is created between WeGather and any organiser by virtue of the listing of an event on the Platform.
2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and event organisers (collectively “you” or “the User”). They govern your access to and use of the Platform, including all content, features, and services available on or through it. If you access the Platform on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
These Terms must be read together with our Privacy & Data Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
3. No Endorsement — Disclaimer of Liability
3.1 General Disclaimer. The inclusion of any event on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, verification, or approval of any kind by WeGather. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WeGather, its shareholders, founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and affiliates (collectively, the “WeGather Parties”) expressly disclaim and accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever — whether in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution, or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with:
- the quality, safety, legality, suitability, adequacy, or fitness for purpose of any event or any services provided by an organiser;
- any personal injury, illness, death, loss of property, or any other harm of any nature sustained by any person in connection with attending, travelling to, or otherwise participating in any event;
- any financial loss, including loss arising from ticket purchases, pre-payments, non-refunds, cancellations, no-shows, pricing errors, or any commercial dispute between an attendee and an organiser;
- the conduct, character, qualifications, credentials, licences, regulatory status, or representations of any organiser or facilitator;
- any event detail — including date, time, location, price, capacity, programme content, facilitator credentials, or safety arrangements — that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. All listing details are published exactly as submitted by the organiser and are the sole responsibility of that organiser;
- any failure of an event to obtain or maintain any permit, licence, or regulatory authorisation required by the laws of the UAE, Republic of Indonesia, Kingdom of Spain, or any other applicable jurisdiction;
- any loss of data, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity arising from use of or reliance on the Platform;
- any technical failure, interruption, error, or unavailability of the Platform.
3.2 No Verification of Listings. WeGather does not verify, and makes no representation regarding, the accuracy or completeness of any listing. Prices, dates, locations, organiser qualifications, and all other details are shown as submitted. You are strongly advised to verify all details directly with the organiser before attending or making any payment.
3.3 Limitation of Aggregate Liability. In no event will the WeGather Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, howsoever caused, even if the WeGather Parties have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent that any liability of the WeGather Parties cannot be fully excluded by applicable law, the maximum aggregate liability of the WeGather Parties to any User for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed AED 500 (five hundred UAE dirhams) or the equivalent in local currency.
3.4 Attendee Assumption of Risk. You attend events and deal with organisers entirely at your own risk. WeGather strongly encourages all users to:
- verify all event details, permits, and safety arrangements directly with the organiser before attending;
- conduct independent due diligence on any organiser, facilitator, or service provider;
- obtain appropriate travel, health, and personal liability insurance where applicable.
4. Organiser Obligations
By submitting a listing to WeGather, the organiser irrevocably agrees to each of the following:
- 4.1 Legal compliance. Your event and all associated activities fully comply with all applicable laws, regulations, decrees, and administrative orders of the jurisdiction(s) in which the event takes place — in the UAE (federal and Emirate-level laws and the relevant Events Licensing Authority), in Bali/Indonesia (laws of the Republic of Indonesia, Bali provincial regulations, and permits required by Dinas Pariwisata), and in Ibiza/Spain (laws of the Kingdom of Spain, the Balearic Islands, and applicable EU law). You hold, or will hold no later than the date the event commences, all licences, permits, authorisations, and approvals required by applicable law. You are solely responsible for all tax obligations arising from the event (VAT, PPN, withholding or entertainment taxes, as applicable).
- 4.2 Community standards. Your listing, event, and conduct are respectful of the local community, culture, values, and laws of the country in which the event takes place. This is of particular importance in the UAE, where public order, cultural sensitivity, and respect for Islamic values are legally required and non-negotiable.
- 4.3 Accuracy of submissions. All information you submit is accurate, complete, and not misleading as at the date of submission, and you will promptly update your listing if any material details change. You own or hold all necessary rights (including intellectual property rights) to all content you submit, and that content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
- 4.4 Prohibited content. You will not submit, and you represent that your event does not involve, any of the items listed below. Listings containing prohibited content will be declined or removed without notice, and WeGather reserves the right to report any listing to relevant authorities where it suspects a breach of applicable law.
Prohibited content includes:
- Controlled and illegal substances — any event involving the use, distribution, facilitation, promotion, or glorification of illegal, controlled, or psychoactive substances, including without limitation ayahuasca, peyote, psilocybin (“magic mushrooms”), DMT, ibogaine or iboga, 5-MeO-DMT (Bufo alvarius), LSD, San Pedro or mescaline, ketamine (outside licensed medical/clinical contexts), MDMA, cannabis (where illegal), or any substance controlled, prohibited, or restricted under the laws of the UAE, Indonesia, Spain, or the EU — including analogues, derivatives, synthetic equivalents, or substances described by euphemism (e.g. “plant medicine,” “entheogen,” “ceremony”).
- Sexual and adult content — any event of a sexual nature, adult entertainment, “tantra” events where sexual activity or nudity is involved or implied, or any event that contravenes public decency laws.
- Unlicensed financial services — any event constituting or promoting unlicensed financial services, investment schemes, or activities regulated by financial authorities in any applicable jurisdiction.
- Harmful or unlawful content — any event that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable, or that promotes discrimination or hatred on any basis.
4.5 Licence Grant. By submitting a listing, the organiser grants WeGather a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, transferable licence to display, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and promote the submitted listing content — including images, logos, and descriptive text — on the Platform and across WeGather’s associated social media channels and marketing materials, for the purposes of operating and promoting the Platform. This licence continues until the listing is removed. The organiser warrants that the grant of this licence does not violate the rights of any third party.
4.6 Organiser Indemnity. The organiser is solely and exclusively responsible for their event and for all claims, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or in connection with the event, the listing, or any breach of these Terms. The organiser irrevocably and unconditionally releases the WeGather Parties from any and all claims arising from the organiser’s event or listing, and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the WeGather Parties against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) brought by any third party — including attendees, venue operators, or regulatory authorities — arising out of or in connection with the organiser’s event, listing, conduct, or breach of these Terms.
5. Platform Management
WeGather reviews listings at its sole and absolute discretion. WeGather may, at any time and without prior notice or liability:
- edit any listing for accuracy, presentation, or compliance with these Terms;
- decline to publish any listing;
- suspend, remove, or permanently delete any listing;
- suspend or terminate any organiser’s access to the Platform.
WeGather makes no commitment as to platform availability, uptime, continuity, or the continued operation of any feature. The Platform and any part of it may be changed, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice and without liability.
6. Third-Party Links and Content
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, social media pages, payment platforms, or other external content. WeGather has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party resource. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Platform, its design, structure, and original content (excluding organiser-submitted listings) are owned by or licensed to WeGather. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in or to WeGather’s intellectual property. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without WeGather’s prior written consent.
8. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to any conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Emirate of Dubai, UAE. You irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
EU Users: If you are a consumer located in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your right to rely on mandatory provisions of the consumer protection laws of your member state. In particular, if you are a consumer in Spain, you may have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of Spain. Indonesian Users: nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights available to you under applicable Indonesian consumer protection law, including Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection.
9. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect. No failure or delay by WeGather in exercising any right under these Terms constitutes a waiver of that right.
10. Updates to These Terms
WeGather may update these Terms at any time. The version published on the Platform at the time of your use governs your relationship with WeGather. We will use reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes by updating the effective date. Continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
